Last night Tim Ryan was all over the road on abortion. He confused, he dodged, he weaved. He even said he was against late term abortions, but he wouldn't which week was too late to kill a baby. He can't say 15 weeks is too long to wait because the death culture would pull their support. The only thing left for us to do is go to the record. What has Tim done in the past?
Tim voted for legislation that if passed into law, would have imposed nationwide taxpayer funded late term abortion. The act was called " Abortion on Demand until birth act. It would have removed nearly all pro-life protections for the unborn and abolished laws preventing late term abortions. The bill goes far beyond Roe V Wade and overrides state prolife laws at both the state and federal levels.
In the Town Hall Tim sounded like a moderate in wanting to codify Roe V Wade. If Bret Baire or Martha Mccallum had known, how could Ryan have explained his vote for "The Abortion on Demand until Birth act".
We have two Natural Gas to Electric plants in Lordstown. One up and running and one about to be built. I just heard Tim Ryan take credit for landing those plants. I can't recall Ryan being involved in the sighting of those plants. To be fair, I'm not sure how they evolved but I kept hearing the name Mayor Arno Hill attached to these projects. I talked to Hill and these projects were facilitated by the village of Lordstown, Ryan may have helped with a waterline, but these projects are not due to his work as a congressman.
Tim Ryan said he had 4 EV's being built in Lordstown, and I can't remember a single time Tim intervened to close the Endurance, Pair, Indy or Monarch. I honestly don't recall him ever being involved. It may be news to Toledo about his involvement in the manufacturing of Solar Panels, not to mention the Intell chip plant in Columbus or the Honda Battery plant in Southern Ohio.
Honestly, I have looked, and I cannot find Tim Ryan tied to any of these projects, and while I'm piling on, if anyone was instrumental in saving the TJX project it was Lordstown Mayor Arno Hill. Yes, I understand when you are the sitting congressman or Senator you tend to get accolades for any positive news, but for Ryan to take credit for all this good news is a stretch.
Tim Ryan at least one time in his presidential run said we should consider legalizing all drugs. This of course is going to be scrutinized in a Townhall. Tim is now explaining that he meant Marijuana should be legalized. That will usually get you a loud cheer from the stoners in the audience. The questions kept coming, "Tim at least once while running for president you said a good deal of people should be released from prison, Tim did a quick two step and said we should not be sending people to jail for using weed. News Flash, we have not done that for years, save for those bringing in the weed by the bale.
Tim Ryan, Ohio’s Democratic nominee for Senate, has called for border security on the campaign trail, but just three years ago he pledged to strip funding from border authorities and support citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants.
In 2019, when Ryan was running for the Democratic presidential nomination, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) asked presidential candidates to pledge their support for several specific policies regarding illegal immigration. What do others think about Ryan? The Daily Wire laid it out pretty clearly in the next few paragraphs.
"Ryan agreed to support a path to citizenship for 11 million illegal immigrants. He also pledged to slash the detention budget of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and end the use of ICE detainers, his answers to the ACLU questionnaire show."
"The ACLU asked whether Ryan would promise to “champion legislation” that would provide “fair and achievable paths to citizenship” for 11 million illegal immigrants. Ryan checked “yes" ..."
"The ACLU also asked whether Ryan would “commit to ending the use of ICE detainers,” which are requests from ICE to state or local law enforcement to detain an illegal immigrant until federal immigration authorities can take them into custody. Ryan indicated he would commit to doing so."
"Ryan also took the ACLU pledge committing to reducing the size of the immigration detention system by “at least 75%,” including by “cutting ICE’s detention budget” and ending the detention of asylum seekers ..."
"Border authorities encountered more than two million migrants at the border in fiscal year 2022, according to data released last month from Customs and Border Protection. Some of those encounters were people who repeatedly tried to cross the U.S. border."
"In September, border authorities encountered nearly 228,000 migrants, up 12% from August, partly due to people fleeing failing regimes in Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua."
"Ryan faces Republican candidate J.D. Vance in the general election on November 8."
"Vance has run on a platform of strong border security that includes no amnesty for illegal immigrants, doubling the number of border agents, and working to finish construction of a border wall."
"Tim was asked what he meant about killing the MAGA movement. He painted the MAGA crowd as dangerous responsible for injuring 140 cops and killing one in the riot. The police officer who died was a way from January 6th demonstrations' and died from causes other than then the January 6th Rally Riot." Quotations attributed to the Daily Wire."
